Mini-Mods
You may have heard from you friends or co-workers about a radical new concept call "Mini Mods". Do not be alarmed when I say that a few of us are pushing to get it passed here at BenHeck...
Here's the way mini mods work: first, there is a person that still has power over all boards in case there is another gungfu13 on the loose. This will probably be gannon, since he is on a lot and is an admin already. After that, there many mini mods that will each take 2 forums, and one that is an extra for forum 42 (since it gets pretty busy there, ya know) Here is the tentative plan:
The Book: SpongeBuell, vb_master
Forum 42: Bicostp, Lucretius, HK-47
Atari 2600: Spongebuell, Sparkfist
NES: Nos_Slived, Lucretius
SEGA-Gen, etc: SegaSonicFan, Bicostp
SNES: extremesonic, Sparkfist
PSone: Segasonicfan, G-Force
N64: Gamelver, MM007
SegaDC: vb_master, MM007
2nd Gen: BlackSix, Gamelever
Screens: G-Force, Nos_Slived
Trading Post: HK-47, BlackSix
Full Time Admins: Gannon, Benheckc
Why mini mods, you ask? Well, for one thing, it shows specialties of each person. Senior Members are good ways to show people that have been around a while, but they don't say that SpongeBuell is good with the 2600, and not that great with a dreamcast. Also, it keeps the job of the current mods down. Right now they all read every post daily to make sure everything is ok. Doing this would cut down the time spent dramatically, even if they are the kinds read every post anyway. Finally, it prevents a single moderator from getting too power hungry. Thankfully, this hasn't been an issue yet, but it's always possible.
AtariAge is a good example of places where mini mods are used. All forums are modded by the site administrators, Alex and Albert, but there are others that take a forum or 2 based on their expertise. This seems to have worked well, and things are very tame over there.
Anyway, this idea is far from complete and we are willling and rearing to take ideas. Suggestions, comment, questions, have at it!

You should just skip all the middle crap and jump right up to being an admin.cennar wrote:hey bud i can see sega sonic in charge of all moderation with the seganess, but why Vb master? hes ok i guess.. i dont know i think leaving things as is and not wining so much about it is a better idea.. or making me a mini mod would be better.. oh yeah man i would totaly be all the middle man of every isue, and i hate meth kids...

Ok first, Lucretius is correct on many of the points. Our little community is growing and we are likely to go this route sooner or later.
As for Cennar, listen to yourself. You dont sound like you would take it seriously, at all.
Spongebuell, cant be sure but you talked about it the most.

1. How did you make a poll? I want to make polls!
*tantrum

2. I believe the current mods should still moderate across the board, I guess.
But, that's just my 2 cents worth.
EDIT: \/ mmmm... pie....

Yeah, the current mods should still reign supreme, with the mini-mods being 2nd in command to them. Without B6 in power, who else could closerize?
