How did you wreck your screen?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Solder.... yea I dropped some solder on the screen while making connections. Um it still works, but now has a burn in it. Looking for a replacement now.

my first one was when i had no idea about electronics and wired 4 batteries up the right way (series) then the last battery in parrallel. the battery got really hot and the masking tape caught fire! then i didnt know there was a fuse so i threw it away. with my ext one i realied there was a fuse and almost cried because i had wasted 50 bucks on my screen. but with my second one my dog jumped on the screen and he broke it. the board is still fine though.

I am trying in vain to find an LCD that has a resolution greater than 1024x768 and is less than 15". It would make a great LCD projector  !
