Because the old forum's engine (PHPbb 1.08?) was about 3 or 4 years old. There's just new security updates and stuff like that. Check out PHPbb's version history, that should tell you the differences.

Here's my list of things I have found problematic/missing:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
-No Avatar settings in the Profile Editor
-The e-mail address bug

Ben, I've run a few small forums before (I had to move the same one all over the place because crapy free hosts suck ), I'll poke around the Admin panel on bicostp.coconia.net/phpbb to try and see if there's some avatar settings in the admin panel.

Ok, I've done a few things in the admin section (hope Ben doesn't mind)
I redid his email address in the email area, enabled user to user emailing again, enabled avatars :)

lol, that reminds me of something. When I was little I had a Tamogachi, and it grew up to be this stupid thing that looked like Bill Clinton. I was super p'ed about that for some reason :P

 jeez I have seen those Tamagothis before.

I remember in 2'nd grade some kid went home crying because his tamagothi died. Kids didn't pay any attention in school, because they would tend to their tamagothis all through class. So the teacher would take them and the tamagotchis would die before the day was over.

 Ahh, those were the days. :P

Anybody remember POGs? (May be before some peoples' times.)

The old forum was still disabled, but I enabled it and locked all the forums. This will make it so you can still access links going to pages there, you just can't post there. Now that I think of it though, it'd be better to just delete the files to save room :)
