Where do you buy classic games/consoles?

Post by atkafighter »

Hi,
I was wondering what are the best places to get games and consoles? I'm looking in particular for stores. I'm not too fond of the internet and ebay (i can't afford shipping). I'm looking for classics like Nintendo consoles SEGA consoles and stuff like that.
I've seen classic carts at EBgames but they are usually junk and I hate that place anyway.
I always wondered what they did with all the old stuff when they took over Funcoland.
Thanks

Pawn Shops would be your best guess, or yard sales

Flea Markets are your best friend. Theres one at a local mall on Sunday here and there are usualy 4-5 vendors that sell NES, SNES Genesis and many other systems and games. I even found a Atari 2600 and some games. I can easily go in and walk out $100 poorer  .

Game Crazy usually has a couple killer genesis titles. And usually they arent too spendy. Don't go to babeges...it always smells like puke in there....

No GameStop locations within 50 miles of me carry anything older than the PSX and the N64. :(

Try thrift stores. The selection may be crud, but you may find something good. (I saw a couple of those laptop-expansion card sized SMS games there for $.50 a while back.)

Or you could put a want ad in the newspaper.

Isn't it a cheat to some NES game?

I know it's the answer to the Digital Key door puzzle in Kingdom of Loathing...
