I've watch that from rather early it great to see they have it working. The only sad thing is they wont be able to just it as a full computer unless they can hook a hdd to it, otherwise its just a terminal (and a cheap one at that).

Yeah but Xbox still lacks 3d excellerated graphics. They havent get the driver or reverce-engineered the driver. There are limitations, and one the GC-linux.org site they say why their not as far along; "We had to get linux ont he Xbox first".

Well yeah but you have to remember that the Xbox is really a computer. Intell Celeron(733mH) CPU vs. IBM Power PC CPU(400mH), nVidia GeForce GMX vs. ATI Graphics card. Nintendo wasnt looking to out do anyone in rare power anyways they were looking to make their console high end and completely secure.
Also in any of you want to make you Xbox a linux Box you can also upgrade the RAM from 64 to 128, requires soldering though.

Actually, it's a Pentium III in the Xbox, albeit with a cache half the size of a normal P3.Sparkfist wrote:Well yeah but you have to remember that the Xbox is really a computer. Well I've heard both and am more inclined to believe its a celeron then a PIII, Celeron is just cheaper and as we all would love to believe Microsoft would spear no expence I'm sure they did. Thats also why the system has a verity of 3 different dvd drives 2 different hard drives and 2 differnt capasities.
