WTF is the Activator ring

as the title implies What is the Activator Ring for the Sega Genesis used for, and how?

I saw a picture of it. Basically it looks like a big ring you stand in with sensors on it. The only game I know of that works with it is Mortal Kombat II. It looks like it's really stupid. I wasn't aware of that stuff when I was young because I played Nintendo games.

I have one--I don't think I used it more than the once... It actually works with any game. but certain games had special 'activator-only' moves

If I recall you could pass your hands over the ring for directional and your foot for a button--or something like that. Anyway that really doesn't matter because you should avoid buying one of these at all costs

in short it makes games extremely difficult to play when they don't need to be.

i wnonder if it was ment for Mortal Kombat to do moves easyer

it never made anything easier, but the 'activator only' moves at least made things possible.

how else were you supposed to hold block and hit kick when you only have two feet.
