Hey everyone. I ended up with 3 NOACs in the past when I used to collect games. However, I never use them anymore. It's too much of a pain to hook them up to my TV since I already have too many systems hooked up. What I was wondering is this:
Is there a way to attach the built in games to a real NES cart? One of my systems (The Super Joy III) has the old "crappy games" with no mapper, and Contra. However, the other is the Rumble Station 15-in-1 by Pelican, which has 15 color dreams games. I know that the games are not stored on the traditional ROM chips, so I was wondering if it was possible to cut the board down and solder the corresponding points to an NES cart. This way, I can add to my game collection and enjoy the games rather than have the systems sitting around doing nothing.
Thank you
B
PS I'm not looking to make a portable because I already have the Game Axe.

I wondered about this too, it would be a pretty cool thing to have.
If it outputs the data on the cartridge pins then maybe it would work. The NES would have to bypass the NOAC for it to work though.
I don't know enough about the system to know if it would work or not. I say try it, it shouldn't break the NES.

The roms are standard NES ROMs, and I've heard of someone removing the ROMs from it and soldering them into a NES cart and playing and ripping the game from a NES.

Oh wow, I didn't realize that the glop tops were on those chips! Now, does anyone know if I need a specific NES cartridge with which to use these? Because I am very unfamiliar with Color Dreams stuff and have heard that certain mappers use certain PCBs. Or, can I simply use an old Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt?
Thanks again
