Regarding the EV-680 Casio screen...

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Regarding the EV-680 Casio screen...

Post by radioactivelego »

1. I removed the tuner box via desoldering all of the leads and prying it off with a screwdriver, is this all that needs to be done?

2. The square-like piece of metal that helped hold the extendable antenna in place and had a couple of lead soldered into the upper board, do i have to resolder these two back together?

3. How in the hell can you people solder those 16 pins together?! I have a 15 watt and have tried more than a dozen times to connect two leads with no go.

4. I lost the headphone jack, would any jack from Radio Shack work just as well?
