In yesterday's press conference, Nintendo said that they would make Revolution games that anyone would like to play- and that includes adults.benheckc wrote:as for the Nintendo... I don't know. Unless their games cater more to older games their share is going go down even more.

Of course some adults will play Revolution games. They're the same franchises they grew up with!

I think that Xbox will unfortunatly be in the lead for a long time until the Revolution comes out and the PS3's price goes down. On engadget.com, they said that the PS3 would be sold for less than $465. I mean, whos gonna have $465 to buy their kid a game system right after christmas, when they probably bought the Xbox360. Adults who play video games will probably buy it, but you need to have kids (or their parents) buy it as well to make money. The revolution will probably be priced well, and if they go for Christmas 2006, then they will have a very good chance of coming in second or even first.

Microsoft= Monopoly, Solitare, and a N64 game.
Sony= Firestone Tires, Terminator, the new doorstop
Nintendo= Mario, More Mario and maybe a side kick.
After watching more of the microsoft conference, I feel that they are trying to rule the market. the problem is how much the X360 and LIVE costs. The Casual Girl gamer steriotype that they mentioned might not buy it because they have better things to spend money on. By the time 360 comes out, It might have to be more than $300 and be bundled with more things. They are saying that the system is made for High-Def, but they might not put the RGB cable in. If they want high resolutions why not they say "Computer Entertainment System" like Sony and slap on a VGA plug.

I find it pretty dumb that the 360 runs Windows Media Center '05, I bet the box for the friggin' thind will be void of any sentences including the words 'video', 'game', 'play', or 'fun'. Instead it'll say "HAH, you thought you were getting a video game system! But we just expanded the Windows Monopoly even further! NO REFUNDS!"

i personally think that this time arround its gonna be the final nail in the x-box coffin....i hear about all the sales from when x-box came out way back when and how much better it sells than the PS2 but dumb x-box console newbies dont understand that PS2 sold its pants off like mad before the x-b-x even came out and the side by side sales from then on, x-box did ok for a while but ps2 certianly sold a lot more and M$ is rushing the production of this new console out and theyre noobs to the console market so i know theyre going to screw up some place....dont even get my started on old x-box sales in japan....
like i said in another post i think it'll go lkike this this time arround:
1. Nintendo Revolution (after a little bit of time)
2. Sony PlayStation 3
3. Philips CDi
(oo some more)
4. Phantom
5. Mountian Dew Live Wire can
6. Oregon lottery Megabucks ticket for $1 for may 14 2005 with no kicker
7.1987 Nissan Maxima AAV
8. Pong
