Cennar's right. (OMG!!! ^^) Not all people can be expected to know a lot about electronics. How many times have you been forced to take a job selling stuff, and encountered experienced customers who know more than you about what you're selling at some point? Maybe not often, but it likely DOES happen...

I went to Radio Shack the other day, the guy asked me if I wanted to arm wrestle, and said I looked like an arm wrestler, I shrugged, paid, and walked out.

I can understand them not understanding somethings, but if you work in an electronics store, you should atleast know what LEDs and resistors are. I seriously asked where the LEDs were once, and he brought out a 60W bulb.

Thats just sad. These people really should be reading the basic electronics books in the stores then.

I'm going to have to say that the whole idea of the electroics hobbiest seems to be disappering and being replaced with generally just people that want to build/program computers.

First, there's nothing wrong with wanting to build/program computers. Second, ya, people in electronics usually no nothing about electronics but its really not hard to go to the company website and find the part number then ask for it by number in the store.
