the pin headers and ribbon cable can be obtained from an old computer you may have or a nearby computer repair shop,

can someone tell me wat part of the computer the pin headers are in and if i need a special kind of ide cable

its unlikely ur gonna find headers as good as that in a standard computer, but from old hardrives is an option, but ur gonna have to desloder those, and that means ull probly need a torch, and then ull prolby melt the plastic gard on the header, best bet is to buy brand new headers, however my scsi cable i used, had a male and a female end, so i just plug one end into the n64 and other into the cart adapter

There any local computer repair shops? They'll have them.

no this cable was a super rare find, im highly doubtful that you will find such a cable in a repair shop, but if i find another source of such cables i will inform, another option is to buy the scsi cable w/o heads, and purchase the male and female ends and attach them manually to the cable, i saw that done once... after a long search of another one of these cables

i believe the cable came out of an old mac server type computer, that i was destroying, cuase well..., but i found it in there, pocked it, and a month later i looked at it and my cart slot and said 'EUREKA'

i just finished soldering all 48 wires to my cart plug, tomrow ima see if it works..., tho i need to get a new hot glue gun
