I am thinking about using a Dreamcast as I already have one and I am on a budget. I am asking for a PSone round 5" screen on my Christmas list
. I have controllers, games, all that. I also have a soldering iron and a dremel. Anything else I need besides batteries and a case? I only can think of one right now: A bit (or maybe a lot...) of help.
EDIT:
New title

There isn't too many DC portable threads here. Any reason why?

Hmmm... I have a old laptop with a working screen in it. Would it work?
EDIT:
Just found out it won't work.
If someone could supply me a working PSone screen free of any costs, I would be grateful
I also may give them some Dreamcast game or something, but I cannot afford a PSone screen or any other screen for that matter.

Does anyone know of a ribbon-like cable that I could connect the GD-ROM to to the Mobo without them being directly on each other

You don't need Pico PSU. All you need is:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-DC-Converter ... fresh=true " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and a 7805. 12v line works well with 7.4v battery input.
I TAKE COMMISSIONS FOR CNC-ROUTED CASES AND PORTABLES... JUST P.M. ME!

If you can't afford a PS1 screen (assuming it's off of eBay) try your local craigslist. I never purchase anything from stores now.
Setting up a website- I need input!
If you've got time- PM me for link.

I've got a PsOne screen handy. I don't want it, so if you do, you can have it for cheap.

I suppose I can; It is completely functional, however the speakers are currently detached. I'll include them when I send it to you of course.
