Expansion Pack
Can Anyone suggest how I would encorporate an expansion pack into an N64p and where I could find one?
Also, I am considering Making one of these(mainly so I can Play Conkers BFD in the Car,considering nintendo have only released about 12 games IN TOTAL for the DS).
My question Is, how would I go about making one and what parts should I be Especially Careful With?

Re: Expansion Pack
You'd like to make an expansion pack or do you mean going about incorporating one into the n64p?N64 Lover wrote:My question Is, how would I go about making one and what parts should I be Especially Careful With?
Re: Expansion Pack
be careful with the motherboard. i heard it fries easily. to get rid of static, touch something that's grounded every now and then.N64 Lover wrote: what parts should I be Especially Careful With?

And use a grounding wrist strap to prevent static buildup. (seriously, one kid at school told me not to work on a PC mobo without putting it on a sheet of tinfoil! hmmm. can anyone say "fried boards?"

Re: Expansion Pack
i assume "one" is an n64p. anyway, here's some how-to's: http://saoghal.cywh.com/N64m_Pictures/n64m.html and http://www27.brinkster.com/ninja13/n64/ portables of doom is also pretty useful http://doomportables.freeserverhost.net/ there's also a sticky about screen stuff in the screen forum. you should also read the thing about ben's n64p, you might get some useful stuff from it.N64 Lover wrote:how would I go about making one
Yeah...I wish Ben would release a more detailed how to with his guides because, while they are quite funny, It would help more if he maybe gave you circuit Diagrams and very detailed ways of making it...bazz wrote:i would hope ben makes a how to or something, simply because of the fact that he did a really good job at slimming his down. I've seen some great ones online though too.
Of course I wouldn't BUILD an expansion pack...I was talking about buying a europeon one...I would say it will be hard to get though
These are a lot of great answers.....
The reason I have asked these Questions is because I will have a lot of free time over the summer and I hope to build an N64p and Hopefully my own computer(I will make it a top of the range one..I am researching it right now)
Thanks for your help guys, any more building tips/Suggestions/Precautions?
EDIT: Having looked further into the forums,I am glad I joined other forums because I knew to pool my questions to save Ben's Bandwith......YAY ME!!!!

wow... lets solve the expanison pack problem, buy one from ebay or from ur local game store, geez, and if room is a problem strap a heatsink to it
or just make a heatsink outa its original.... , as for careful, be careful with everytyhing, dont touch things on n64 sept big metal parts?, and be careful with polarity and where u stick ur 12 and 3v input to ur n64...
