decided to give it ago, all is going well so far, except I'm seriously struggling to remove solder from some of the pins of the components, I have discovered that more often than not these pins are soldered to the ground. It seems they just soak up the heat of my 450 degree C iron and not melt the solder all the way through, and I'm not game enough to wait until they do in fear of cooking something important. 1. get a desoldering iron and gently wedge the components off the board
