Ah yes! Heat Shrink is a good use for it. Sometimes I just use a match or lighter as I cant be bothered to plug it in.
I also use it for removing hot glue and I used it once to remove epoxy off of an IC. Underneath is the pure chip, and once you heat it, it is ruined...
It is amazing, how they can layer and design a chip, that has millions and billions of transistors.
Fighting off ice monsters, mostly.
Actually I don't have one, although I almost bought one for bending foam for prop armor.
