Thinking of making a GCP. I'm not sure where to start...

I have been doing some hand held mods for a little while and I have taken some electronic courses. When I see these fantastic portable consoles out there they amaze me. I have no experience in making consoles portable or making cases. Does anyone know any good tutorials on how do to this? Also parts and pricing I would need for this mod would be greatly appreciated.
