i just took a heatsink out of a computer and am wondering if i can use it and how to cut it to fit the parts inside the N64

Sure you can use it.
Heatsinks are aluminum (same as soda cans and airplanes) so you can easily cut it with the proper hacksaw blade or a tinsnips.

No. You need thermal epoxy. Krazy Glue is great for hanging from a girder by your hard hat, but it doesn't conduct heat very well.

its probably just plain ole silicone paste, commonly used for heatsinks, it can be used, but new paste is best, but then again, this isnt overclocking or 2Ghz parts, so that would work fine, just be sure to find some way to hold heatsinks on and in place, putting a dab of glue on two opposite corners works. Josh.
