Broken GBA SP screen swaping

Hi, I'm new to the community.

So, here's the problem:

I have 3 GBA:

1 White old model
1 SP Classic Nes series ags-001
1 SP Silver Ags-101

I'm going to do the Bibin's frontlit GBA mod using the Classic Nes and the white one. The silver one is broken. It fell on the floor, it's all glued and if you press the buttons a bit hard the image and sound f*cks up. Probably its backlit screen is just fine.
What I think on doing is: Swap the screens of the SPs. Just take the Awesome backlit screen from the broken sp and put it on the Classic Nes.

Is this possible, does the forum has any guide on it?

Hey,

I'm pretty sure you can swap the screen units between the AGS-001 and AGS-101 without any problems. They are exactly the same size and shape.

The only thing I'm not 100% sure on is the power supply to the light. The AGS-001 has a separate tab from the video ribbon that has the power +/- on it. I haven't gone inside a AGS-101 yet. If the 101 has the same tab with +/- on it, you're golden.

as far as i know - you CAN'T just swap the screens between 001 and 101. whta the guy in the link did is to swap the hole guts of the 001 and 101. the main boards AND the screen of the 101 is now in the 001 case

I agree with scorp, he basicly swap case from the one he had to the nes model case, or you can say it the otherway around, I have 3 screens that are great condiditon and I have an sp ags 101 and none of those screen work with it only when i hooke them up to the ags 001 board..
