Slot-loading PSone?

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

haha, seen that 360 mod ages ago. He used a macintosh drive I remember.

Anyway, as for that PS1 slot loading drive, the video is from 2002 and it is originally in German. So I think most of the links are down...


Would of been epic to know what he did in that console however, because PS1 is the BEST console EVER (for the 5th generation)

(@ Nintendo fans :roll:)

I talked to the guy who made that video ( using google translate 8) )
Anyway, he said he simply used a slot loading drive from a computer and replaced the CD drive with that of the PSone.

( Im from Germany so no Problems there ^^ )
But he told me the inside of the Playstation is such a mess that he doesnt dare to take any pics ^^.

Well it is my first portable, and I am quite proud of it. Even though, PS1 is the best. My idea is to well, you will have to wait and see what happens after my Pn64...

Seems to be going very well! Good work.


I would be more than happy to also try one myself however. Improves skill, and knowledge about PS1's. (Which are awesome by the way).
