now plugging that in and using a regular bluetooth headset works just fine
but i was thinking of somehow fitting it inside the housing
what i havent been able to figure out is the power needed and if it would kill
the batteries significantly that its not worth the hastle this if anyone could give me some tips id appreciate it
Bluetooth Capability On Xbox 360 Controller?

Re: Bluetooth Capability On Xbox 360 Controller?
all Xbox 360 wireless accessory run on a 2.5 Ghz channel, not blue tooth.
there was a PC adapter for all Xbox 360 wireless accessory, but now its bundled with a wireless controller.
but i am not sure what your getting at.
Edit: Ok i get it now.
it looks like that is just a normal 2.5 mm jack (same size as the xbox headset jack), so in theory it could work.
what you can do is use a chat-pad as the housing so you can keep the existing battery and you can take it off when ever. (to keep thing simple try using the existing battery)

Re: Bluetooth Capability On Xbox 360 Controller?
yeah sorry if i wasnt clear enough
basically that adapter connects via 2.5mm and that would eliminate any wires that get in the way when using normal headsets (i dont like Microsoft's wireless headset)
and permit me to use a bluetooth headset
i was hoping to tear the adapter apart and incorporating it into the controller itself
but that idea also sounds good
im gonna go look for my chat pad now and tear that open

how big is the board and battery of the Bluetooth thing.
if you put it in the controller you might have to loss the rumble.
