I love certain Wii games and want to love others, however I hate the Wii Controls with a copulate passion, they SUCK! I would love it if every single Wii game used the Classic Controller Plus, however the games I'd prefer to use this controller... such as my wide selection of Gamecube games, the Mario Galaxy games and Wario Land: Shake It! all don't. The Gamecube games I can handle using the Gamecube controller, that was at least functional, if a little uneasy for me. The Mario Galaxy and Wario Land games though I have no choice but to use the Wii mote, and that pisses me off.
So for this project I plan to rip apart a Wii-Mote and Nunchuck (stupid copulate name as you NEVER throw it or hold it like a Nunchuck), and rearrange them into a Classic Controller Plus (if they will fit), if not I will find a bigger controller to base this project off, possibly an original Xbox controller. The pointer I intend to have pointing directly out of either the back or the top of the controller depending on what is most feasible.
Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions, tips etc. for this project.

Re: Wii-Mote Mod
Correct me if I'm wrong ( I don't handle wii remotes often) but isn't there motion sensors in both "halves" of the controller? (num and regular controller)

Re: Wii-Mote Mod
That's where the challenge is, getting the motion sensors in the remote to fit into the controller in such a way that they still work in the correct manner.

I'm kinda excited to see how this plays out I to (like most people) hate the wii mote with a passion and it would be really nice to rig it into an actual useful controller
If at first you don't succeed... Call it version 0.5

Re: Wii-Mote Mod
From what I can see, the main problems will be getting the motion controls to work, and at the same time fitting the analogue stick from the nunchuck into the same controller. On looking at this closer and having taken a few measurments I doubt it'll fit into a classic controller. I'll keep people informed on how well this goes, I'm a bit of a newbie with modding though, the only modding I've ever done is replacing the D-Pad and USB cable in a broken wired Xbox 360 controller but it worked after I fixed it up.
