Hey guys,
I'm planning out a console mod project with a nice led wxga lcd panel i got a while ago, but i really don't want to deal with the huge lcd controller that came with it that has like many inputs.
What i really want to do is make a sleek thin system (reason for LED back light), but everywhere I've been searching has really large controllers with multiple inputs. I want a cell phone sized driver (if they make them that small).
Wondering if any of you guys have tackled this problem before, or know of a good solution to my problem.

I've never seen anything like that. LCD controllers are typically way larger a cell phone, even ones on fairly small screens. If you just want to reduce it's height, you could desolder the un-needed input plugs. It may be possible to trim down the un-needed section of the board, but you run the risk of hitting an internal trace that is needed.
