Is N-Gage the ultra-mega-cell-phone deal? I think it's still around.

Yeah, the N-Gage is the super-mega-fun-joy-mech-cellphone thing. Didn't it have 3D graphics and a really small screen?

It was just smaller. (the screen on both was puny if you ask me. They became the modern-day neogeo pocket systems.

Called the N-gage QD. It did sort out some of the more obvious design flaws of the first (having to take the battery out to change game, for instance). It still had the crap screen ratio though - 3:4 (higher than it is wide, hopeless for side scrolling games like Sonic). They removed the MP3 playback function too as I recall.RNS0504 wrote:Didn't nokia come out with the ngage-q or something? like an updated version
I think there were only three games for the NGage (I think theyre still sold at gamestop). I think they were sonic Tony Hawk and Duke Nukem, and they all stunk. I tfailed as a portable video game system, and it failed even more as a phone. Why do they keep making them? Theyre like $400, and $50 a game. Its stupid.

I've seen the original N-gage new for £50 (bear in mind that's even cheaper than it seems in US standards thanks to your current economy/strength of the pound/whatnot), and there's certainly more than three games, but yeah, it still sucks.
i bought an n-gage for AU$100 (us $60 gbp35) and a 1gb mem card it is great i have all the games as rom (http://www.ngage-addicts.uni.cc i watch videos and use it as an mp3 devie it roks man!!!

N-Gage is a waste. Too bulky to be a cell-phone, to small to be a handheld system.
Zodiac is alright, but it cost twice as much as a PSP. No real point of getting a system that will only have 1/4 the support the PSP/DS will have.
PSP is worth it, unless you plan on getting it solely for media. That's just silly. But if you would like a movie on it, possibly some ROMs, a bit of music, and great games get a PSP.
Emulation is going to be the awesome and hopefully the easy on the PSP.
