Water Cooling the 360 and RROD

Hello Again,

I have hooked up my 360 to water cooling, actually a couple of 360's. I am finding that when I turn on the system with no water going through the system it works, and then overheats after a little of while. As soon as water goes through the water blocks then I get a hardware failure. When I turned on the unit with water running through the system I immediately get a hardware failure. (The three red lights 1,3,4). A few times I got it to run with water going through but they seem to be flukes. After a while I no longer got any video or any controller recognition from the system, (however I did use the controller to turn the system on).

I then figured that the problem may be that I did not have nylon washers on the xclamps ( I used four of them to hold down the water blocks). Or that the problem was I did not use distilled water. I try both of these theorys (stupidly, at the same time of course). The system seem to run fine with water cooling, problem was I had no video or anything else working. Just a green light in the center of the ring of lights.

Any idea what I am missing or what was wrong. Is there any way to fix the nothingness of my current system.

Are you sure the pump, is moving water through the system, or any of the blocks, or connections are not plugged up?

Yes, everything is running and the water is definitely pumping through the system. I have an open ended system that runs water into a very large resorveir so that you can see the water coming out.

2 red lights is overheating, so it may not have anything to do with the cooling.
Are you sure the water blocks are correctly installed and not warping the circuit board?

Can you post pics of your setup? I think it's some sort of battery effect with the heatsink. What kind of Water are you using? Tap? Distilled?

I had the same problem with a refurbished 360 i bought from ebay i came to find out i broke the processor die from over tightning the clamps can you provide some pics and what type of board your running?
