Technically, there should be no problems with me pulling power from the PS3's 120V incoming line to my LCD's power board, right? I'm pretty sure Ben did this with his PS3 Slim Laptop, but I can't tell for sure by the pictures he posted.
I found a speaker system I'm going to use. I've got it all soldering together and everything. It uses two AAA batteries, so it's running off of roughly 3V. Would I be find powering that with a 5V line, or would that blow it and I'd have to use a resistor of some kind?
Thanks guys! Been working on this for almost 5 days now and I've got A LOT done. Wouldn't have gotten this far without reading these forums.

The 120V AC line? Depends on where you wire it. If you are just going to wire it to the LCD's powerplug, then it should be fine. The board regulates the voltage to the LCD'S required voltage.
As for the speakers, I think that would blow them. I'm not that knowledgeable about electronics, but I think you want to use a regulator instead of a resistor.
TO MODS: Posting just didn't work in Chrome, but works in Firefox. I'll check again in a few minutes.
EDIT: Now it works. Huh.

Thanks! That's what I figured for the LCD. Now for the speaker I have to find a regulator. Hm...
