1000 uF Capacitor?

1000 uF Capacitor?

i just received my zenith screen in the mail and it has a 1000uF Capacitor attached to a component near to where you put the 5v. is it okay for me to remove this?

if it is on the 7805 near the bottom of the screen then yes

It is used to smooth out the power fluctuations. I leave mine on because without it there are usually wavy lines on the screen.

lol i i should have left mine on i can see the wavy lines now. guess i'll just put it back on
