Anybody know the Xbox 360 voltage requirements?

Post by collinE »

I'm looking for the minimum and maximum voltage requirements on the 360's 12v line. Any help would be great.

The min/max rating on the 12v line is 12v, kinda answered your own question there.

Really depends on the version of motherboard as to what it needs as far as current goes though, but 16A is what the largest PSU is rated at, though it can get by on 14A or so.

Also it's 3 Ground, 3 12v, 5vsb and PWR_Enable.

You guys...

I want to know what the range is. Like how you can power the 3.3v line on an N64 with as little as 2.9v before it shuts of, the N64 12v line can be powered with a 7.4v battery, a PSOne screen can take up to 9v before frying, etc.

I know how to read a pinout and the PSU label. :wtf:

I would stick with 12v. The DVD drive needs 12v, and it is regulated down to the other voltages by the 360 itself. Even if the regulators run on lower voltages, the DVD drive will still need 12v.
