GC pinouts

Post by Zeromous »

Hi! I've been building My gamecube portable at school. My science teacher has been letting me use the school equipment like the multimeter, soldering iron, ect.

Anyways I have been snooping around this site and modretro as well, to get information about the GC. This is all fine and dandy but I wondering where I can find most of the GC pinouts. I can't seem to find a post that elaborates on them so much.

Also, I was wondering if there is a guide on building a gamecube. (sorry a little lazy)

Thank you! :D

Which pinouts specifically? The a/v, controller, memorycard, power ones? Or the onboard pinouts for things like dvd drive, lid switch, dc power lines, etc?

Well, right now I may need the power pinouts :| I've soldered the the regulator board to the mother board and everything is working... I.E. the disc is spinning, the fan is running ect. HOWEVER, the screen is flickering and at times I can makeout the "gamecube" logo. Its making me frustrated because everything is spinning and working, (or least it looks like it.) but the screen is just not getting a good signal. :(

Thanks, Gannon!! :D

I'm not quite sure, I'm still using the AV cables to test the gamecube. I'm positive that I soldered the wires correctly from the mother board to the regulator. (I use the word "positive" lightly. )

Maybe I'm not being clear, when I go back to school on Monday, I'll take some pictures and post them.

Also, when testing the gamecube, do you need the BIOS battery, and the controller board type thing? (sorry, newbie question  )

You need all boards, 100% 'positive'. Not sure 'bout battery, I can test if you want me to tho.
