Which Antivirus Software do you use ? Why?

1) My provider gives it for free.
2) Works good


But most of the time I use Linux w/o/ antivirus software.

On my Windows partition, I'm using avast! It's free and it's good. For Linux, I use Clam. It's also free and good. It's also GPL, which is even better.

i dont use spam software. i, unlike most people, actually watch what i download.

Yep, that seems to be how most of the recent spambots have worked. Make a somewhat relevant post that doesn't have anything to do with portablizing, and then change their sig to spam a few days later.

I don't use one. I run housecall.trendmicro.com every couple of weeks but I don't have a need to bog down my computer every hour of the day. Just be careful of the sites you go to and the stuff you download. Generally if you're acquiring software or media legally, you don't have to worry about that stuff.

I use AntiVir. It's faster, uses less resources, and has better real-time detection than AVG, and unlike ClamWin it actually detects viruses.

MalwareBytes is on here too, just in case it's needed.

i use kasperskey, it dosen't us a lot of resources like Norton and is really fast, it catches everything.

I use AVG. Its free, works great and scans daily. It is also unobtrusive, unlike Norton which I found very annoying when I had a trial. I have also had Avast! before, and it works great as well. AVG and Avast! are both great free anti virus software if you are looking for something that is free.

Im usually using linux and although they exist i have nothing valuable stored and reinstall takes a few secs . On windows i use avg.

My IT friend was given a copy by his company that never needs to be renewed, and I didn't feel like paying for antivirus software.
