leave the bottom half then us the ds cart slot in to a sd reader with that cart built in. As for the gbo cover great. but make it the gbc instead and fully functonal. It will be so orginal and will play all games. hows that for creative???? :shock:

Idea-Put the ds parts in a GBC, so that it could play GBA games.
Then put the GBC in the DS shell. Buy a old Gameboy color flash card and put it where the SD card could go into the old gameslot.
That would be a nice double project.

Repair it by buying the new cable...but get a 10 meter one and have the other screen on the other side of the room all the time and then you could be happy. 8)
Valve is the best company.

Kind of a bump, I finally got that damn cable and tried it out today, because I can't really work on my atari just yet. I didn't want to do nothing either and then I remembered that I had this thing lying around, complete with a new ribbon i bought once upon a time.

Basically, it works;

but the bottom screen is kinda copulate

There are a million tiny scratches, one really big one (did he use a knife because he couldn't find his touchpen? wtf?)
and the touch functionality is also really messed up, as in, it's terribly inaccurate. recalibrating it doesn't do a thing.

I'm gonna buy a new touchscreen. What I'm going to do with it is still in the future.

I got two big scratches on my DSi screen just from using the stylus. I guess a crumb or something was on the screen... And my phat has a billion scratches on the screen because I don't have an actual stylus anymore. I've used... A lego spear, a lego pole-ish thing, various pen caps, a pen that I took the ink tube out of, and I'm currently using a stylus from a cheap Electronic Organizer thing that I got out of a Scholastic magazine.

I've always wanted to put a ds into a PSP shell.

Have it slide up out of the UMD drive when you open the drive's cover.

Well, it'd require extending, meaning a lot of bondo work, something I'm not good at, but $5 says triton could do it.
