Hey guys(or gals), was just wondering if anyone had any experience modding ps3 controllers. I dont really like asking for help but im going to smash something up soon.
The problem im having is, ive extended the controls of the ps3 pad, everything including the analogue sticks onto some copper clad boards. The problem lies with the start, select and home buttons. If I leave the controller overnight, everything is cushty. However after a while, the 3 buttons mentioned go all crazy. ie, start and sel stop working altogether. Pressing the home button activates start and home at the same time. Then, when I press home to come out of the PS3 menu, the pause menu is still there and I cant get out of it.
Yes, I have remembered to use the 2 pull up resistors and have experimented with different resistances with slightly varying results, but the end result is always just about the same....not as it should be......HELP!

Do PS360 controllers count as experience?
or this?

I use 7.5k Resistors, when the Daughter board gets removed on any controller, installed between COM1 and V, then COM2 and V.

What version of controller are you working with here? http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=648322" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
On all versions though there are 3 COM lines (and this goes by how I have them labeled) COM1 is for the D-pad, L1 and L2. COM2 is for XO[ ]/\, R1 and R2. Then COM3 is for Select, Start, L3 and R3. The PS (Home) button connects to V to activate.

Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.
