Okee, so i encountered a mini problem

i'd liked to finish my portable today, but i seem to be missing the 2N4401 amp :/
I've loads of parts all over the place, but i can't find this item :S

here is gives another partname (don't have thisone either :S)

Is there a formula to follow ?

I've found on wiki there is a math thingy to calculate the amplifying transistor, so maybe i can figure out a way to use one of my parts combined with different resistors ??

Or should i just post a list of transistors i have?? or is there a website wich converts the transistor code to some numbers so i can follow the formula?

Is the 2n4401 included in the old RFbox thingy? - edit: I have the PAL version, not sure if that makes it different?

You can try using any NPN transistor. Some will work, some won't.

If it doesn't work, can i damage the screen and or the NES ?

Any chance one of those transistors will work?

And if i could use one of these, do i need the same 2 resistors? or stronger/lower ones ?

I'm only needing this part then i can continue soldering it together and start the case part.

ok so found a shop nearby wich sells transistors, not the 2n4401 :S

other suggestions to pick then?

Okee, please could someone give me a suggestion ? my parents are getting grumpy the livingroom is full with parts all over if i can get some advice by this night ( i guess this day if youre in the US ) i can finish tomorrow just before christmas eve'

Just try using the transistors and resistors that you have. As long as they are NPN type, it's not very likely that it would break anything.

that mod sucks imo. I will post the "better" mod for the NES2 when i am not incapacitated.

I was looking all over the internet for video amp + nes, didn't notice it wasn't about the "normal" NES.

Today i visited a shop, and they gave me the following part wich should be similar.

CTBC
337-25
LE

I'm now finishing the 7.5V > 5V step and then i can test this new transistor.
