N64 switch and reset button

Post by rootbeerben3 »

I'm building a portable n64. I tryed to remove a switch and the reset button. However, I broke the switch. I want to solder it in the "on" postiton and just put a switch on the wire from the battery to the n64. ON the switch, what holes (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) would i solder to each other? Would it be like 1 to 2 and 3 to4 and so on?

that is what the port looks like and how it is labled

thanks

You don't need to replace the reset switch, removing it works fine.

Yeah, you really don't need a reset switch. It'll just be more wiring and space-wasting. Just don't bridge the connection on the reset switch! It would make it think the switch is constantly pressed.
