Xbox 360 e74 fix

Post by Al9bob »

Im wanting to buy a broken Xbox 360 that i can fix to mess with. I found one, but it will not come with cords and has the e74 problem. I'm wondering how I should go about fixing this since im going to be messing with it and make a new case and i don't think i will be able to apply the pressure like so many of the other fixes.
Also, would i be able to just solder the female RCA plugs with the connectors since i don't have the Xbox cords?

I bought an E74 360 off ebay for $45 and then sent it in to Microsoft to get fixed for free. If it still has the warranty, then have them fix it.

Ya, it does not have warrently, but it is $30 bucks and I figured I would get this one since it will be easier to fix then a 3 rings of death xbox 360 which is also $30 bucks

This seems like a good guide for fixing the e74. But if you can, get one that still has the warranty and send it to Microsoft.
Just buy the cords, they aren't too expensive.
