you use a 12 volt battery (actually 11.1v or 14.8v with a pcb that converts to 12v) and then use a Ticard to get the 8.5v. or you buy an scph9000+ which uses 7.5 volts, then use 4 or 5 7805's in parallel.Takoon4 wrote:i already am but how to i wire the batteries for the ps2 slim (8.5v) and the lcd monitor (12v)

Re: Ps2 laptop...yes i know another one
im useing lit-ion batteries that add up to 14.8.
I have a regulator that imputs 4 - 25v and outputs 1-10v
how would i go about hooking the 12v monitor with it alone with the ps2 slim 8.5v

Re: Ps2 laptop...yes i know another one
not easy. the monitor probably needs the 12 volts for all its voltage converters to work properly. you may be able to do a led mod, though. but, i don't think you can use just that regulator. also, on your regulator, does it support high enough amp draw?Takoon4 wrote:im useing lit-ion batteries that add up to 14.8.

LAWL. Just making sure, thought you were going a bit loopy.
7808s generally can handle 1-1.5 amps, I'm curious as to why you'd need 4 of them for a ps2 slim? Don't ps2 slims draw somewhere around 1.2 Amps? Or am I just remembering wrong......

they draw like 4.5 amps, plus a screen which is like 1.2.snowpenguin wrote:LAWL. Just making sure, thought you were going a bit loopy.
