Sharpen the edges, make throwing disc, see what you can get them to embed themselves in, then call it embedded storage in a *object* and sell it on ebay as a novelty item to make people laugh.

My camera doesn't have a video feature but I came up with some cool designs with the discs. I will post them later on today

Are all the discs scratched in a particular way? The discs at pg. 1 seems to be scored through a scratching machine to make the discs useless.

Some discs were from customers that traded them in and the guys behind the counter didn't check to see if they were repairable. And we run it through our disc repair machine which basically is a sand paper grinder with a water spout to keep the disc from warping.Still the discs were messed up. And sometimes a new guy doesn't check to see if the water is on or not. Or he doesn't watch it just in case if the disc is put in the machine with too much pressure pressing down as it spins. Its a headache sometimes but it works great.

I did have about a thousand at one point but some people wanted. And i think I may have about 500 something left out of the bunch. The pic with the chord through the spindle( first page pics) is six foot but its still full and very heavy.

I dont know if anyone mentioned but...

If a disc is scratched on the label side, theres no way to fix it. That scratch just went through the data/information layer.

(The gamestore I work at has a disc repairing machine, and I'm the one who operates it.)

Take the CD, and hold it up to a light source. If you can see light shining through, its toast. (AKA: Broken.)

I am very much aware because I too work at a store that doesn't buy anything with a label scratch. But then again I am not the new guys that buy them. What really is bad if you have been looking for a game for the longest and someone brings it in and it is damage beyond repair....brings a tear to my eye :(

Yep.

I have a couple old CDs that have bit rot. Hold them up to the light and it's covered in dots. It's a shame, too. One is an old QuickTime 1.0 developer demo CD. :(
