Backlit game boy color?

i have some nds lite screens around and i wanted to know how to mod then into my gbc

You can't backlight the GBC screen, but you can frontlight it.

You can't backlight a GBC screen, it washes out. End of story.

Really, it's because of the way that nintendo made the color screen able to be seen without having a backlight in the first place. Bibin could explain it better for you. My knowledge is really limited on the subject. All I know is that I frontlit it and it works.

You cannot practically backlight a GameBoy Color. If you try, the whole screen is just white.

I have a theory on how it could be backlit, but it would only let you have the light source from the back, it would still be lit from the front. If I can get it working someday, I might post it, but I do not think it will work well anyways.
