I have only had one problem with compatibility, but that was more of a x86-x64 issue i had with java run time.Axaj wrote:I got the RC, but I switched to XP. It really was not compatible with enough programs.

There are 10 kinds of people in the world those that understand binary and those that don't.

Binary is as easy as 1 10 11!

It's Vista with a new name so the haters will think it's better and buy it.
I have not been fooled! I am fine with Vista!

Re: Windows 7
More like it's only worth upgrading if you currently have xp. It's probably not worth the upgrade if you already have vista, or if you have a slow computer that can't handle vista.

Meh, I've never had any real problems with Vista. I guess the only beef I've ever had is that occationally my photoshop will sometimes take a dump on me. But that's really only because I'm using an old copy of Photoshop, as I'm just too cheap to get a brand spanking new copy of CS4 or whatever (why does it have to be so freaken expensive?!)

Re: Windows 7
Why should you have to buy a brand spanking new one for it to be supported on a new OS? Why couldn't they have made it so you could use an older one?
or is it just the old version of photoshop in general causing the problem...?

Nope, it's not the old version of PS....as it worked flawlessly on my old XP computer. So I'm pretty sure it's vista

Re: Windows 7
I'm running Photoshop 7 on Windows 7. It works but rearranging layers is slow, and some of the adjustment sliders co weird when you drag them around too long. XP computability mode fixed it.
XP was just a minor update to Windows 2000 when it came out, but everybody ate that up...
