Good,small speakers?

Post by Tallon »

I am currently using the 8ohm speakers from what ben used in the wii laptop
"digikey: GC0351M-3-ND"
they turned out a lot smaller than I thought they were and sound terrible
very fuzzy and quiet, I can't hear them over the fans

so can someone to recommend something a little bigger and that doesn't sound too fuzzy
something in between them and pc speakers which were too big to fit in an x360 laptop case

I'm not using a homemade amp so I suppose the speakers are the problem
current project 360p:
2.8" laptop with 17"ws, keyboard and mouse/playstation compatible in games, temp sensors, 6 more usb ports
What I need: a second wifi adapter, case 70% done

If you're not using a homemade amp, then what amp are you using?

and have you made sure it sounds good with any speakers at all?

I'm using an amp from some pc speakers I've cracked open
the speakers that were on it sounded fine but they were a bit too big to fit in my x360 laptop case
they were the $10 logitech speakers(amp)

There are so many different good speakers available from so many sources that it's hard to just recommend a particular pair to you. Basically your options boil down to salvaging speakers from something you find at a garage sale or Goodwill or some other source for cheap junk electronics or you can try ordering a different pair of speakers from Digi-Key or Mouser that match the size you need. Or you might go the cheap route and salvage something from Electronic Goldmine's speaker section.
