psp firmware hacking problem (darn battery)

Post by stephen0205 »

ok guys i dont know if this is the right forum to post this, but here goes.

i have a psp slim 2003. It has the latest sony firmware, i only got it the other day from a friend. Its running ofw 6.10.

so i took out the battery, slim s110 battery, and i used the tutorial and cut the tracer, made the magic memstick with ipl. and stuck the battery in the psp.

it didnt boot, but booted normally.

so i took it a step further and tok the pin from the chip, for the perminant hack, and its clean off. Not touching anything.

put in the psp, and nothing, but it will still turn on and boot normally, and im sitting here scratching my head at why the hell i cant make the battery a pandora.

any help would be appreciated.

sorry for the spelling. :)

What program are you using to make the magic memory stick? or are you just manually placing the files? I suggest using PSP Grader v008 (unless there is a newer version I am unaware of) and trying again. Also, just to make sure, are you holding down the R button when you boot?

EDIT: Sorry for the bump, but the topic was still on the first page, so i didn't take my time to look...
