Controller Help Needed!

Post by Kainevg »

Hey guys,

I havn't been doing anything lately to my project i've started on but I have just got back into it and I was wondering about how im going to do the controller.

I am going to exclude the D-Pad and the L button as there not overly needed. I am going to just vacuum form a case ( A simple rectangle with rounded edges) and I need to know how to put the buttons in. I know the preferred choice of buttons are the rubber tactile switches (I think so anyway) but does that mean you just have the small black button popping out because I usually see the default nintendo buttons sticking out.

Do you somehow attach the nintendo buttons (Just the small plastic that covers the actual button, eg A or B) to the rubber tact switch?

Anyway, I live in australia and am having trouble finding the rubber tacts.. I dont mind if I buy them from oversea's I just need someone to direct me somewhere I cna buy them..

So if someone could answer both my questions that would be greatly appreciated - Thanks in advance, Kaine

*EDIT*

Alright, so that probably wasn't worded very good at all... let me have another go :)

My case is basically a rectangle. On the right side there will be the thumb-stick, on the left side there will be A,B and the C buttons, screw the D-Pad... At the top right and on the back will be the Right Shoulder button, on the left will be the Z button, screw the L button.

All I need to know is what is the best way for hooking up the buttons to the case.. how do other people do them? Even a link to a tutorial would be great

Thanks in advance - Kaine
