HAPPY BIRTHDAY USA!

Post by Twilight Wolf »

The United States of America turns 233 years old today. Happy birthday to you, America!

So what are you guys all doing for the Fourth? I'm going up to Virginia City to see the annual parade they have, and usually my family and I will wander around for a few hours checking things out. Afterwards we're going to my grandparents' house for a barbeque, then we're heading to Sparks to see the fireworks show, since Reno is too cheap to have any this year - this after holding out on New Year's fireworks, too.

Umm, well happy 4th I suppose. Only going to just launch bottle rockets and watch the money people spent on fireworks :D

I'm working as well. Most fireworks and events don't happen on the 4th around here. Even Montpelier's (Vermont's capitol) fireworks were last night. Another town had theirs last Saturday. There are fireworks tonight in a town 2 miles up the road from me, and even though it is a small town, they have some of the best fireworks in the whole state.

Fireworks with my family most likely. I might end up going to a park with my friends afterward to see the real fireworks, but that all depends on the time.

Gonna eat loads of hotdogs with shredded pineapple and bacon.

At the place I work, we have to re-outfit all of our sailing vessels with new flares every 3 years. All kind of flares; handheld, guns, things that shoot out of a tube from your hand, parachute flares, etc. When they tossed the "expired" ones ( ) I got them. :P

Then I am gonna sit out on the deck with my family and friends and watch the fireworks off the Queen Mary.

set off a couple fireworks, almost got the entire family killed when a roman candle fell over and exploded six feet from us. Good times.

Set off the coffee can cannon a few times. Blew up an entire box of snaps at once with a brick. Made loud booms. Scared neighbors crapless. Good times were had by all.

Hopefully this year's Pops concert isn't rained out.
