Basic Battery and Screen Mod

Being that I just plain don't have the cash or time to get working on an in depth hack complete with a custom case, and a bunch of parts, I just have a simple idea (I think). The plan is to get a rechargeable battery pack somehow wired into a Mini SNES, and also put a PS1 screen on it the easiest way possible. So my questions are:

1.) How would I wire the battery pack in? (and what battery would you suggest?) I would prefer not to use a soldering iron, but might be able to get my hands on one if I need to.

2.) What should I do for the screen? Does it require a separate power source. Frankly, if it would work, I would be fine with just connecting the SNES up to the screenlike a regular TV, if that's possible, I'm really not sure how the basic out of the box screen even works.

So, in short, I want to make a mod that has a screen and a chargeable battery pack, with minimal case work, if none. Please help me out!

Edit:I have found a reasonably sized case on polycase, and I have created a mock model of what I want it to look like, subject to change, especially the location of the cart etc.

hate to break it to ya but your going to need time, money and a soldering iron if you want to do this project.

The screen and the system can be ran off of the same battery. The snes mini takes in 9V but regulates it to 5V and I think the ps1 screen can take from 7V to 8.5V. Not sure how the snes mini really works but you might be able to get by with a 7.4V battery.

I can probably pick up a soldering iron somewhere Well at least (hopefully) it will be worth the investment.
