I started a portable SNES last summer and abandoned it once school started up but now school is done and i got the craving to finish the thing. i am almost done just need to complete the controller and a new battery pack.
I wanted to know where i could get push-button triggers to use for the controller. i failed at cutting up the controller and wiring it together so i decided to go and make it custom. i got 2 buttons from a dell but i am unable to find more.i need ones that can fit into PC board.
Also i was wondering where i can get some good rechargable batteries for the system. i heard about using the camera batteries and considered that and i had gotten 2 thin batteries to go inside but those got fried.

how do you fry them like that?
Anyways be more careful and try to do it fast so they dont overheat from the soldering iron.

would have to be almost paper thin. the problem is the pins are not even bent to fit down into holes. i went looking back on the site and there are other buttons just like it but with longer pins. however i am unable to buy thoughs cause its not sold on the site anymore.

Battery tabs are a female of the dog species to solder to. What I did that worked was I poked a hole in the tab, stripped two inches or so of wire, and looped it through the hole, then soldered the wire to itself. Then I took some aluminum foil, jammed it in between the two nice and tight, and taped it all shut.
It never gave me a single problem.
