The PS3 slim?

I am very excited about that. Also, I like this smaller screened PSP, if it can be CFW'd. Or, if my prediction comes true and Sony releases an SDK.

although they didn't give any concrete information about it, sony said at e3 that they were considering some sort of trade-in program, where you could get a digital copy of your UMD games to put on a PSPgo. if they did that, im definatly buying one. if not, i'll wait for the real psp2.

I believe the PS3 slim wasn't announced because Sony needs to sell down their current stock and wants to do so without cutting the price any. It will probably take a few months to do that. If they announce and release the slim then, it will be just about when the PSP Go releases, tying everything nicely together for them.

Wait for it........

Edit: And not for nothing, I think Sony's sales will have cratered this month - everyone was expecting either a slim PS3 or a price drop and the new, improved PSP. Who would have bought either this month? PS2, fresh off the price drop, will outsell both.

Well, Gran Turismo Mobile (the long-awaited 100% remake of GT4 for PSP) is going to be a PSP Go launch title... Does that count?

I think the PSP Go is a great idea actually. Especially since they are not abandoning the old PSP. They are going to continue to sell both and sell games via physical media and digital download. As someone who has bought a Kindle (and loves it) I can appreciate what Sony is looking to accomplish here.

I think they're doing this now, so that when the PSP2 comes out in a couple of years it will be all digital downloads and people will be used to the concept by then. That way it won't be such a jarring shift in the way things are done when they switch over completely to doing things that way. To me it looks like Sony is blazing a trail that others will follow in due time. Just my two cents...
