Dremel Versatip-To cut holes?

Post by n1teblad3 »

Today I found out what a dremel is(Yea I know total noob  ), and I was just wondering if I could use this to cut(/melt) a hole in a Portable DVD player.
Or would I need something like this?

(I was just wondering cause it says 'hot cutting')

The first thingy would work, but the second one is about 5 million times more versatile. Although I think the first one can be used as a ghetto soldering iron.

The second one would be the better of the two but even better would be a corded one. The cordless doesn't last very long and it also makes the dremel heavier because of the battery on it.

You could just use a regular drill, ya know. :P  Just make sure the bit is spinning FAST if it's designed for wood, or it may crack the plastic. Just go slow and it will work.
