It's a steep learning curve, but i'd say go with the electric guitar if you want, can be a little difficult to get started but it's a great skill to have.

Or if you really want, just get a new phone, copulate everyone who says you don't need it, it's your money isn't it, although I heard those flip blackberry ones aren't too great.

If you have the patience to learn, get an electric guitar/lute. Go cheap for your first guitar (not First Act though, those are just awful) because if you get good enough to make a mediocre guitar sound good, then If you decide to get a good guitar, it'll sound great.
