Emultaion on the DS?

Post by J.D »

I know it is possible to emulate on the DS (NES, SNES, MegaDrive) but how hard is it? Is that R4 system good? I've tried to google it and I don't get the information I need.

*edit* Did I put this post in the wrong category?

It is very easy and you can get a R4 Clone for $6.77 on DealExtrme.

Check out the R4 Card and I would recommend a 2GB MicroSD Card too since they're only $6.90.

$13.67 + Free Shipping is a bargain for what you get. If you think the prices are too good to be true, they aren't. DealExtreme is legit, I have ordered from them numerous times.

I had an R4 at one time but sold it, and eventually bought an N5 card - which is an R4 Clone. They work great and they're cheap.

Dealextreme is a great place. I order stuff on there a lot as well. IO got my acekard 2i, and 2 2GB micro SD cards for about $13 (I got a discount because there was a problem with a previous order)

I bought the Acekard2i as well (and a dingoo!) from dealextreme. Haven't gotten it yet so can't say much about it other than here starts the second week of what seems like the longest 2 weeks of my life

It will come! I know what you mean. DealExtreme shipments take forever! Those 2 weeks I waited for my Dingoo seemed like years.

Sometimes, life isn't fair, but you just have to work around it.

I believe it is legal, but emulation on R4 is illegal unless you own the cartridge of the game (or so I heard)

It is illegal, even then. The main thing to remember is to be moral about it. Personally, I will pirate as many 10 year old games as I want, since they are not sold anymore. However, when a remake comes out (ala Chrono Trigger DS, SM64DS or Pokemon Soul Silver), I will often buy it.

I pirated those games first, then bought the old originals. Now, they get to make money off me by making me buy them again!
