the pins sticking out that you plugin the dc in ARE BROKEN
broken power port:
theres only one pin on the plug which you connect to the power adapter and if thats broken then you do the usb charge mod, or buy another plug.
broken pins from mobo which connect to the DC plug:
just hard wire it
broken pins meant for battery:
just hardwire the battery
If its something related to power apart from those three things then I don't know PSP's

Re: psp 1000 ps2 controller mod
okay that looks to be problem no 2, broken pin from mobo that connects to the psp's dc plug, solution is to hardwire the dc port by stripping the wires and soldering them to the places they would've been if the pins were there, or alternatively do the usb charge mod.

Re: psp 1000 ps2 controller mod
Yeah it's not hard. Just cut off the male plug of the charge port, and then strip the wires and solder. USB charge mod is even easier. Just take a wire, and connect it from the 5v pin on the USB to the + pin on the charger port.
As for connecting a ps2 controller to a PSP...
It was actually F00 F00 who did the external controller with 4 USB plugs
And I think Blizzrad was the other guy.
To do this, you basically have to wire all the buttons from the PS2 controller to all the buttons on the PSP. This requires some pretty good soldering, and is quite hard.

A user named "Blizzrad" on acidmods already did this some time ago, here's basically a tutorial for it: http://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=17761.0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
epic win
BUSTIN!!! I never knew anyone else from acidmods had an account hereBustinthejustin wrote:Yeah it's not hard. Just cut off the male plug of the charge port, and then strip the wires and solder. how about you just buy this:
http://www.bestofferbuy.com/USB-Powered ... aign=gbase" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
oh noes! you have to charge it externally!
You guys always try to turn the simplest of problems into a full hardware rebuild.

NO, the CHARGER cannot connect to the MOBO because the little connector that the charging plug plugs into is broken clean off the board. At least that's how it looks to me, I can't even really tell WTF he took a picture of.alentris wrote:17daysolderthannes wrote:how about you just buy this:

Oooooooooh... *facepalm*, I couldn't tell what side of the mobo I was looking at... They're both at the same place of the mobo, just different sides... lol sry17daysolderthannes wrote:alentris wrote:17daysolderthannes wrote: NO, the CHARGER cannot connect to the MOBO because the little connector that the charging plug plugs into is broken clean off the board. Re: psp 1000 ps2 controller mod
yep, so like I said, get an external battery charger. Its really not much less convenient anyway, only a little annoying that you can't play it while it charges
Re: psp 1000 ps2 controller mod
Or you could do a USB charge mod on it, it's really simple
