Wow you won't get along with people if they annoy you and you call them a mega fag. Also what mods have you done? I haven't done many but I have done a few off kipkay. I would also like to see your mods. Also do you even know what you are going to do for a case? Making a portable isn't easy and thats what a lot of people don't understand. Oh and I would like to see yours finished not sarcasm but I always like to see new portables.

Wow...All somebody is trying to do is ACUTUALL start making a portable, and the only thing cutting me off really is a screen..and he could of gotten a screen cheap so instead you buy it yourself?...

I'm not going to buy it. I've got a psone screen dissasbled here. I just thought maybe modders with more experience may want it to make better portables. Sorry OhSnap I fix'd the link and you can still get it. BTW that isn't my account. Anyway you may still be able to get it but I'm not bidding. I thought it wouldn't make much difference as there are only 4 Aussie users that I know of me,*O*, you and blaze3279.

well that's not for you to decide that people could make better use of it then me! I may very well make a better one than them, why to you get to judge that. there are plenty more lurkers than there are probably from australia too or willing to have it shipped. i may still try to win it, but it will probably blow my budget

Did a quick ebay search for you on the Australian site - how about THIS I recon if you can get it including postage for about $80 Australian you probably have a good deal.

Other option is to look in the Screens forum here for generic screens that are just re-badged official PSone screens; and Google for anyone selling them.

Hate to ask a question in this way, but how much are you prepared to pay for a screen?

Unfortunately in Australia we don't get many psone LCD screens. By the way OhSnap! don't bid on the link Bacteria gave. The reason is that it is from America and will take NTSC and we along with the Brits use PAL.

Oh crap, sorry, didn't notice it was from the USA. E-mail the seller to check to see if it is NTSC or PAL (it's probably NTSC).

PSone screens aren't forthcoming in the UK either, but they do come up fairly often.

Best option is probably to look for other options, like broken portable DVD players with working 4:3 screens and a/v input; and preferably work at around 7.4v ideally. Let us know how you get on.

It would be good if there was a steady source of cheap LCD screens we could use but it is not to be. I once nearly bought an AEIcomp screen because I couldn't find a screen for my N64. It was a nice time to look on ebay and find one for merely $100 AUD.

thanks guys for the help, i will probably go with bacteria's idea of trying to find an lcd screen from a portable dvd player. It might actually end up being cheaper

If you do, OhSnap! (interesting name BTW), please let us know what you get and how good or bad a game looks on it when played. Try not to get a standard widescreen one as the image on the screen will be elongated.

well needless to say i missed out on the screen. the view count at the end was like 150, i even used a sniping program but some bozo topped it before i had a chance to bid again. obviously he was sniping also. hmmm maybe when i get back from england there will be one. i am not really in a rush i suppose. good screens are so hard to find, i never anticipated a dinky 5" screen would be so expensive, but i will keep looking
